Iceland

These pictures were taken on my second trip to Iceland in May 2018. The outstanding beauty of this country just keeps amazing me. One day can cycle through all four seasons, with clear skies in the morning and snow in the afternoon. I challenged myself by using a telephoto lens for many of the landscape pictures. I hope you enjoy viewing them just as much as I did creating them.

Icelandic horses in a meadow. A georgeous scene with a lots of depth and one seemingly “awake” horse. There must have been dozens of attempts before landing on this composition.

Climbed to the top of Hverfjall to capture the sunset over Lake Mývatn. Totally surprised by the unexpected surreal view in the opposite direction from what I was planning to shoot.

Beautiful soft colors make it almost look like a painting.

I remember it to be one of the most windy locations on Iceland.
